Visual Identity Type Design
Cirrobulus is a work-in-progress display typeface inspired by metro/subway maps and retro futurism. While the plan is to eventually create lowercase forms, for now I am still focusing on the capitals and numbers, with some alternative glyphs. The first iteration of this font was created in a modular font creation platform called Fontstruct. Subsequent iterations were altered by hand and created in illustrator and exported through the FontSelf Maker extension. While I am still experimenting with weight and alternative characters, the goal is to have a fully functioning typeface with caps, lowercase, punctuation, alternative characters, & numbers. This typeface would be great for experimental use and visual identities that need a retro, modern, and playful flair.
